Fallout 3, New Vegas and Oblivion Now Available DRM Free

GOG New Vegas

Seemingly out of nowhere the folks over at Bethesda Softworks have decided to partner with GOG.com to sell DRM free versions of Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Not only are these version of the games DRM Free but they are also the definitive editions of the games, containing all post-launch addon content as well.

This is also the first time a version of Fallout 3 has been released without the Games for Windows Live DRM attached to it.

Each game is available at 50% off as part of a Fallout / Elder Scrolls sale as well. This sale also includes The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind as well as the original isometric CRPG Fallout games.

You can read my review of Fallout: New Vegas here.

If you haven’t played these games yet then now is the time to buy them, not only are they on sale but with no DRM attached these are the best versions of the game to add to your digital collection.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a new trend of AAA releases being brought over to GOG. More games available with no DRM is always a good thing to see and if there was any game that I would love to see set this trend it would Fallout: New Vegas, one of my favourite games of all time.

You can find the games on sale here or on the GOG.com front page until Tuesday 6th June 2017.

Update: As well as being DRM free and containing all DLCs these versions of the game also have their LAA flag enabled by default allowing them to utilise more system resources on higher end machines.
